Dinnertime conversation was always lively at the Homer’s. With 5 opinionated children, the topics were varied and timely. I loved eating at my best friend’s house, though we were less cerebral than her older siblings and were known to excuse ourselves mid-meal in fits of squirrelly laughter. One night when I was a guest, those same siblings revealed that their mom’s famous taco pie was on the menu since there was company for dinner. We all cleaned our plates and asked for seconds. I decided to update this ’70’s classic using McCormick’s Skillet Sauces!
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ onion, diced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 package McCormick Fire Roasted Garlic Chili Skillet Sauce
- 1 cup slightly crushed tortilla chips
- 1+ cups shredded cheddar cheese
