Preheat oven to 450°F. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Rub pork chops with oil, salt, pepper and sugar.

Once skillet is hot, add pork chops. Sear on one side for 2 minutes. Add sage leaves and turn the pork chops to sear the other side.

Add butter and let it melt. Pour in the chicken stock and marsala. Mix well, then add the thyme leaves. Bring the sauce to a boil, then add the apple. Turn off the heat and transfer to the oven.

Bake for around 12-15 minutes. Pair with your favorite vegetables.
