Easy Instant Pot French Bread

– quick rise yeast – warm water – sugar – olive oil – salt – flour – egg white

In a bowl, combine warm water, quick rise yeast, and sugar. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes until it rises and is bubbly.

Add floursaltolive oilsugar, and of water to a large mixing bowl.

Once bubbly, combine yeast mixture with the flour mixture. Mix together until you can roll the dough easily into a ball with your hands.

Pour olive oil into the Instant Pot. Place dough inside and select the Yogurt setting. Roll the dough around in the oil.

The dough will rise for the next 40 minutes. Every 10 minutes, open the Instant Pot to knead the dough.

Once 40 minutes is up, your dough will be ready to transfer to a surface coated with flour. Preheat your oven to 425°F.

Cut dough in half.

Shape each loaf and score the tops of each one using a knife.

Brush an egg wash over the top of each loaf.

Bake for 10 minutes. At the 10 minute mark, turn the temperature down to 375°F and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
