This easy dessert recipe is perfect for serving as a fun option on Thanksgiving!

Flour Bowl

Combine flour, sugar, butter and baking powder in a food processor and pulse.  Add egg and water. Pulse until soft.


Take the dough out and knead. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.


Over medium heat, mix all ingredients except the egg. Let it simmer. Lower the heat and let simmer until the liquid is reduce.


Remove from heat and let cool. Add the egg and stir until absorbed. Refrigerate for 1 hour.


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. On a floured surface, roll the dough out. Then, cut circles.


Place some of the filling in the middle of each circle of dough.


Fold into a half-moon shape. Press edges to avoid leaking: use a fork.


Arrange on a baking tin. Brush with beaten egg and top with sugar. Bake for 20-30 minutes.


Serve hot or with a scoop of ice cream. Enjoy!
