Ground chuck Salt Black pepper Smoked Gruyere cheese Caramelized onions Poached eggs Burger buns
One bite of this gourmet burger with caramelized onions, and you will swear by eggs on burgers!
Preheat your grill. Season ground chuck with salt and pepper. Shape beef into 4 burger patties.
Grill burger patties over medium-high heat until one side is seared well, about 3-5 minutes.
Flip burgers and sear the other side. Without cheese, cook 4 minutes for a medium-rare burger.
Top each burger with cheese and cook. Remove burgers and let rest. While the burgers rest, poach your egg.
While the eggs are poaching. toast the burger buns if you like your buns toasted. Caramelize onions.
Place a burger on each bun. Top with caramelized onions and a poached egg. Place top buns on top of each egg. Serve with napkins, and enjoy!
