The combination of a savory, onion-packed broth and crusty, cheese-covered bread makes for a comforting dish everyone will love!
Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode. Add in oil and allow it to get hot, about 1-2 minutes.
Place bay leaves and rosemary spring in your Instant Pot and secure with the lid.
Pressure cook on high for 5 minutes. Let your pot naturally release pressure for at least 15 minutes after cooking.
Release any excess pressure and remove the lid. Remove herbs from the pot immediately.
Preheat the broiler on your oven to high and line a baking sheet with foil. Using oven-safe bowls, fill them with your french onion soup to about ½-inch from the top.
Place bowls onto your prepared baking sheet. Top soup with a slice of bread, and shredded cheese.
Broil for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese begins to bubble and turn golden brown.
