INSTANT POT  PRIME RIB

SCORE THE ROAST

Score the fat cap of a boneless prime rib roast.

ADD SEASONING

Generously season your roast on all sides with sea salt and black pepper.

PLACE IN THE POT

Place the trivet in the Instant Pot. Then, place your roast on top of the trivet.

ADD HERBS

Pour in unsalted beef stock and red wine. Add a few springs of fresh herbs.

PRESSURE COOK

Lock your lid in place. Cook on low pressure for 5 minutes.

LEAVE IN THE POT

Once time is done, do not remove the lid or release the pressure. Leave in the pot for 30 more minutes.

CHECK THE TEMP

Check the temperature with a meat thermometer at the thickest part of the beef.

SEAR THE ROAST

Clean pot and add vegetable oil. Add prime rib roast and sear it until it browns on all sides.
