- puff pastry
- gruyere cheese
- sliced prosciutto
- lemon zest
- fresh basil
Roll out the creases in the puff pastry sheets and pierce each sheet with a fork 10-12 times.
Add gruyere cheese to each sheet, then top with the prosciutto pieces, so the cheese and prosciutto reach the edges of each sheet.
Roll each into a log shape, then cut into slices half an inch thick.
Place on a greased baking sheet cut-side down. Brush with egg and water mixed, then bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 16-18 minutes.
Allow to cool, then garnish with lemon zest and fresh basil.
