Pour broth into the slow cooker.
Add chicken leg quarters. Season with salt and pepper.
Slice fresh sage and place it, along with the rosemary and thyme sprigs, on top of the chicken legs.Place the chicken wings on the wire baking rack.
Add the lid to the crockpot. Cook for 4 hours on high, or 6-8 hours on low.
Remove the chicken carefully from the slow cooker using tongs. Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired, and serve!
