- 2 tsp. salt - 1 1/2 tsp. paprika - 3/4 tsp. pepper - 1/2 tsp. garlic powder - 1/4 tsp. onion powder - 3-4 bone-in pork chops - 3/4 cup all-purpose flour - 3 tbsp. vegetable oil - 1 yellow onion - 3 cloves garlic - 2 tbsp. unsalted butter - 2 cups chicken broth - 1/4 cup buttermilk - 1/4 cup water - Fresh parsley
In a bowl mix together salt, paprika, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Sprinkle mixture on both sides of each pork chop.
Coat each side of pork chops with a light layer of flour.
Add vegetable oil to a hot skillet, sear pork chops for about 5 minutes each side. Remove from pan once golden.
Add sliced onion and garlic to the pan and cook for a few minutes. Add butter and flour and cook until golden.
Slowly pour in chicken broth, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and whisk in buttermilk and water. Place pork chops back in the pan, cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
