How to Freeze Strawberries
You can celebrate strawberry season all year long! By freezing your own strawberries, you’ll save money and you’ll always have high-quality berries on hand.
Servings 1 lb. frozen strawberries
- 1 lb. strawberries or more, depending on how many you want to freeze
Clean the strawberries: Rinse the strawberries in a colander and pat dry with a paper towel.
Cut off the leaves and stems: No need to keep these on when freezing.
Place strawberries on a baking sheet: Place berries in a single layer on a baking sheet in the freezer until frozen, which prevents the strawberries from sticking together.
Transfer to a ziplock bag: Transfer to a baggie until ready to use in all your favorite recipes, like strawberry shortcake ice cream cake. Enjoy!
