Ingredients

Poutine Gravy Recipe

  • 1 package brown gravy mix ex. McCormick Brown Gravy Mix, 0.87 oz.
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic minced
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil

Poutine Fries

  • 12 ounces cheese curds or low moisture mozzarella
  • 1 package frozen french fries your preference; you will need about 28 oz.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease baking dish with cooking spray. Add olive oil to a pan over medium heat on the stove. Cook minced garlic until fragrant.

  • Add water and brown gravy mix. Cook until it simmers and thickens, about 10 minutes.

  • Bake fries according to package directions. Add them to the greased baking dish when ready.

  • Top fries evenly with cheese curds.

  • Finally, add the cooked gravy and a layer of pulled pork evenly over the top of your fries and curds.

  • Bake for 10 minutes in your preheated oven. Serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Try changing up the flavor of your poutine by using different pulled pork! I like to make my pulled pork several different ways - teriyaki, BBQ, with peach sauce, and a spicy Portuguese version that's just delicious.
  • Make homemade gravy using pork or beef drippings to amp up the flavor even more!
