Spaghetti in One Pot

One Pot Spaghetti is extra creamy thanks to cooking all in one pot. This is the recipe you need if you want to know how to make good spaghetti!

Ingredients

  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ½ pound pork sausage
  • ½ red onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 32 ounces chicken stock
  • 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Parsley optional for topping
  • Parmesan optional for topping

Instructions

  • Add ground beef, sausage, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper to a large pot. Cook for 15 minutes, or until all the meat is crumbled and cooked through.

  • Add chicken stock, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti, and red pepper flakes to the pot and bring to a boil. Stir so the spaghetti does not stick together or to the bottom of the pot.

  • Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep the noodles from sticking to the pot.

  • Remove from the heat and top with parmesan and parsley. Serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Beef or vegetable stock can be used instead of chicken stock if desired.
  • You can use any type of noodle, not just spaghetti! Use your favorite.
  • Additional ground beef or Italian sausage can be used instead of pork sausage if you prefer.
  • White onion can be used instead of red onion if you like, but red onion adds a sweetness without needing to add sugar.
  • Dried basil, parsley, or Italian seasoning add additional flavor to one pot spaghetti and are delicious! Use your favorite if you want a little extra.
  • I sometimes like to add mushrooms, bell peppers, or even corn to one pot spaghetti. Try adding vegetables you like to mix things up!
  • If you want a saucier pasta, you can add even more sauce after making it.
  • Store for 3-5 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
