- 1 cup fresh pineapple finely chopped
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 4-5 cloves
- ½ cup light brown sugar packed
- 1 tablespoon butter
In a small skillet add freshly chopped pineapple and pineapple juice over medium heat. Mix together well.
1 cup fresh pineapple, 1 cup pineapple juice
Add in brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir to combine and continue cooking until your glaze begins to lightly boil.
½ teaspoon cinnamon powder, ½ cup light brown sugar, 4-5 cloves
Turn down the heat to a low and cook for another 10 minutes, or until thickened.
Finish off the glaze by adding butter and mix well until fully melted.
1 tablespoon butter
Use glaze immediately on a ham or store it in the refrigerator.
- I recommend using fresh pineapple juice, but you can use the juice from canned pineapple chunks or pineapple slices, or purchase juice from the store.
- You can replace the brown sugar in this glaze with regular sugar.
- If you have leftover pineapple glaze don't throw it out! Brush a little glaze over leftover ham to make it as delicious as the first time.
