Equipment

  • Microwave

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup Rice Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup Corn Chex Cereal
  • 1 ½ cup Wheat Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup Almonds
  • 1 cup Mini pretzels
  • ¼ cup Butter 4 Tbsp.
  • ½ cup White sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup Red & Green chocolate chips
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Pretzels
  • ¼ cup Red Chocolate Melts
  • ¼ cup Green Chocolate Melts

Instructions

  • In a large, microwave-safe bowl, mix together 1 ½ cup rice chex cereal, 1 cup corn chex cereal, 1 ½ cup wheat chex cereal, 1 cup almonds, and 1 cup mini pretzels.
  • Melt ¼ cup butter (4 Tbsp.) and pour it over the chex mix, then toss to coat.
  • Combine ½ cup white sugar and 1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon, then add it to the mix and toss to coat it all evenly.
  • Place the bowl in the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute. Stop to stir it, then microwave it again for another minute.
  • Remove the bowl from the microwave, then spread the chex mix out on a lined sheet pan to cool.
  • While the mix cools, add ¼ cup red candy melts to a small microwave-safe bowl. Add ¼ cup green candy melts to a separate small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave each bowl for 15 seconds at a time, stirring in between intervals until they melt completely and are smooth.
  • Lay 1 cup white chocolate pretzels on wax paper and drizzle with the melted candy melts. Let the pretzels sit to allow the candy to harden.
  • Once the chex mis is done cooling and the chocolate covered pretzels are set, toss the pretzels and ½ cup red & green chocolate chips in a bowl with the Christmas chex mix. You're done - enjoy!
