Instructions
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
2 Tablespoons black sesame seeds, 2 Tablespoons white sesame seeds, 2 Tablespoons dried minced garlic, 2 Tablespoons dried minced onion, 1 Tablespoon coarse kosher salt, 4 Tablespoons black poppy seeds
Store in a jar and use as you like. Enjoy!
Notes
For a spicy blend, add 1 tablespoon of crushed red peppers
For a smoky blend, add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
For an Asian fusion blend, add 1 Tablespoon dried minced ginger
I do not recommend using table salt for this recipe. You want a larger flake or sized salt for the texture. I like to use coarse kosher salt, but also enjoy using flaked sea salt or pretzel salt.
If you are unable to find black sesame seeds at your local grocery store I have found them at Indian and Asian markets, as well as online. Black sesame seeds are not required.
