  • 9 x 7 inch baking dish

  • 6 oz dark chocolate
  • cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tbs cocoa powder
  • cup coconut flour 40 grams
  • 1 ⅓ cup chocolate chips


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9 x 7 inch baking tin with a sheet of parchment paper, and grease very well.
    Melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler (in a heatproof bowl placed over a pan of gently simmering water). Stir continuously until both products are combined. Transfer the mixture into a large mixing bowl and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
    Add brown sugar and whisk vigorously with a hand whisk for 1-2 minutes.

  • Add eggs and vanilla and whisk until well combined.

  • Add cocoa powder and coconut flour and stir gently until absorbed.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

  • Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with only few crumbs.
    Allow the brownies to cool in the pan. Use a sharp knife to cut them into squares.

  1. We recommend baking with good quality coconut flour. It will make all the difference in the world. You want a nice smooth coconut flour mix. 
  2. Use a good quantity of melted chocolate and butter combined with just a little bit of cocoa powder and flour
  3. You need to prepare a thick batter and bake it just until set
