Honey Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork chops
  • 4 Tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 Tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 4 Tablespoons Honey
  • 4 Tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 clove Garlic minced

Instructions

  • Add olive oil to a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Once hot and the oil is shimmering, add the pork chops.

  • Cook until slightly browned on both sides, with an internal temperature of 145°F as read by an internal meat thermometer. This takes about 5-6 minutes per side.

  • Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside to rest for 5 minutes. While the pork chops rest, add lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, and garlic to the skillet. Let simmer for 5 minutes, occasionally stirring.

  • Add pork chops back to the skillet and let simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

Notes

  • If you're worried about overcooking your pork chops, make sure to use a meat thermometer.
  • If you prefer, you can also skip simmering the pork chops in the sauce and simply pour the sauce over the pork chops - so long as they have reached 145°F internally.
  • You can use bone-in pork chops or boneless pork chops: either way works just fine.
  • You won't need any additional salt or black pepper for this recipe.
  • You can use either olive oil or avocado oil to cook the pork chops, but don't use butter. It burns too quickly.
  • For the most tender pork, slice pork chops thinly.
