1½ teaspoons Salt, ½ teaspoon Black pepper, 1 Tablespoon Paprika, 1 teaspoon Onion powder, 2 teaspoons Garlic powder
Mix until well combined.
Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of the seasoning mix on each side of prepared burger patties, then cook and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure not to over-season the burgers! Just a sprinkle of ½ teaspoon per side is plenty, and you can even use less. You want to enhance the flavor, not mask it.
Add the seasoning right before cooking the burgers. This will ensure that the salt doesn't sit on the meat too long and start drying it out.
When baking or broiling burgers, add the seasoning to the meat mix. A baked burger cooks differently than a grilled or pan-fried one and the seasoning will do best mixed right into the meat.
Experiment with flavors! Try adding a dash of cayenne for heat, or swap the paprika for smoked paprika. There are so many delicious options to try!
Make a big batch and store the seasoning in your favorite spice jar. This shelf-stable spice blend lasts forever, and is great on chicken, vegetables, turkey, and more!
