Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2 minutes or until they become fragrant and translucent.
1 small white onion, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 cloves garlic
Add the ground pork to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it's browned and cooked through.
1 pound ground pork
Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes to taste the spices and evenly coat the pork.
2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper
Add the tomato sauce and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir well and simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until the mixture thickens. Taste and adjust the seasonings if needed.
½ cup tomato sauce, ¼ cup chicken broth
Warm your tortillas on a dry skillet, in the oven, or in the microwave.
8 small tortillas
Place a spoonful of the ground pork filling on each tortilla. Top the tacos with your choice of toppings. Some popular options included shredded lettuce, salsa, diced red onions, sliced jalapeños, cheese, sour cream, or guacamole.
salsa, cotija cheese, red onion, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice
Serve your ground pork tacos immediately and enjoy! I love pairing mine with chipotle ranch as a dipping sauce!
