Ingredients

  • 1 can Pizza dough
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 oz Taco seasoning
  • 15 oz Refried beans
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 8 oz Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2.25 oz Black olives sliced
  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 Green onions
  • Sour cream to top

For Taco Seasoning:

  • 1 Tablespoon Chili powder
  • ½ Tablespoon Garlic powder
  • ½ Tablespoon Dried onion
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F, and grease a large baking sheet. Roll out the pizza dough into the pan so it reaches the edges, then pre-bake for 8 minutes. For easier cleanup, add parchment paper to the pan.
    1 can Pizza dough
  • As the crust is baking, add the ground beef to a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown, drain the grease if desired, then add the water and taco seasoning ingredients and let simmer until the water is dissolved, about 5 minutes.
1 lb Ground beef, 1 oz Taco seasoning, 1 Tablespoon Chili powder, ½ Tablespoon Garlic powder, ½ Tablespoon Dried onion, 1 teaspoon Black pepper, 2 teaspoons Paprika, Salt
  • Add in the refried beans, and stir over the heat until hot and well mixed. The beans should start to thin out and be less chunky.
    15 oz Refried beans
  • Remove the crust once the 8 minutes are up and spread with salsa. Then layer on top the beef and beans mixture, and press it flat with a spatula.
    1 cup Salsa
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese over top, then top with olives.
8 oz Cheddar cheese, 2.25 oz Black olives
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is browning and bubbly.
  • Slice the green onions and tomatoes, then sprinkle them on the baked pizza.
    1 Tomato, 2 Green onions
  • Slice with a pizza slicer or kitchen shears, then top with a dollop of sour cream and serve!

Notes

  • You can use refrigerated pizza dough, homemade, or even pre-baked pizza crusts! I like to make pizza dough and freeze it in balls in the freezer so I have it ready at any time.
  • Lining the pan with parchment paper will mean all you need to clean up is the skillet!
  • Change things up by swapping toppings out for whatever you love on tacos! Try different cheeses, swap the ground beef for sliced steak or barbacoa, and try out different salsa like a smoky chipotle salsa!
