Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ cup black pepper coarse, freshly cracked
  • ¼ cup sea salt
  • ¼ cup paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons garlic powder

Instructions

  • Combine black pepper, sea salt, paprika, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
½ cup black pepper, ¼ cup sea salt, ¼ cup paprika, 2 Tablespoons garlic powder
  • Mix the seasoning using a whisk or fork until fully combined. Evenly distribute it on your beef brisket, using your hands to rub the seasoning into the meat. Cook as directed following my smoked brisket recipe if desired.

Notes

  • This rub is enough to season an 11-pound brisket. Adjust the measurements as necessary for your brisket. What's important is that you give it a generous coating of seasoning all over the meat.
  • Brisket seasoning will last indefinitely when stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry location such as your pantry with your other spices. Give it a mix before using it again.
