Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • ½ cup Yellow onion diced
  • 1 Green bell pepper diced
  • 1.5 tablespoon Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb Steak any cut
  • Pinch Salt and pepper
  • 1.5 cup Monterey Jack cheese or other cheese, finely shredded
  • 8 Egg roll wraps

Instructions

Air Fryer Instructions

  • In a saucepan over medium-high, add oil. Add bell pepper and onions. Sauté for 3 to 5 minutes until softened.
2 tablespoon Olive oil, ½ cup Yellow onion, 1 Green bell pepper
  • Add in minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, steak, salt, and pepper. Sauté and cook until your meat is browned. Drain juice to create an au jus. Set aside.
1.5 tablespoon Garlic, 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 lb Steak, Pinch Salt and pepper
  • Lay out the egg roll wrapper in the shape of a diamond. Place 2 to 3 spoonfuls of meat in the center of the wrapper. Add 2 tablespoons of your shredded cheese.
8 Egg roll wraps, 1.5 cup Monterey Jack cheese
  • Lightly wet the edge of the wrapper with water. I like using a sponge brush. Makes it super-efficient! Fold left and right corners into the center.
  • Then, fold the bottom corner and roll the egg rolls shut, squeezing the air out as you roll. Lightly wet the exposed corner to seal it down.
  • Brush the air fryer basket with oil and place the egg rolls in the basket. Brush rolls with oil.
  • Cook for 8 minutes at 380°F, flipping halfway. Cook until egg rolls are crispy and golden brown on all sides. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before you eat.

Oven Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F, and line baking sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Place the egg rolls, seam side down, on the prepared baking sheet, and brush them lightly with oil.
  • Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until egg rolls are crispy.
  • Brush one more time with olive oil, then serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Cutting the steak into even, small slices will help make filling the egg rolls evenly easier.
  • I recommend covering the egg roll wrappers with damp paper towels to prevent them getting dry and crumbly as you work!
  • Add extra seasonings as you see fit! You can always add garlic powder or cayenne for extra flavor!
  • You can also make this recipe with leftover steak! Just slice the steak into tiny bits and reheat it in the pan with the veggies, just enough to soak up the flavor of the sauce.
