Ingredients

  • 2 pound London Broil steak up to 2½ lbs.
  • 2 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon powdered ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Whisk together soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, powdered ginger, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, garlic powder, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes to create the London Broil marinade.
2 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar, ½ cup soy sauce, 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 2 Tablespoons olive oil, 1 Tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 2 Tablespoons brown sugar, ½ teaspoon powdered ginger, ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to taste
  • Pour the marinade into a zip-lock bag, then add London Broil steak. Shake well and refrigerate to marinate for at least 4 hours up to overnight.

  • Remove the steak from the bag and set aside. Keep the marinade! You will use it later to make a sauce. Season steak with salt and pepper to taste on both sides.
  • Add to the grill at 400°F for 5 to 8 minutes on each side. Use a meat thermometer for best results.
  • Meanwhile, pour steak marinade from the bag into a skillet over medium heat on the stove. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes, then let it start to simmer and thicken until it forms a sauce. It is important that the sauce boils for 5 minutes to eliminate any contamination from marinating the meat.
  • Remove your steak from the grill and let it rest 10-15 minutes. After resting, slice thinly and serve with sauce on top.

Notes

  • Always cut against the grain for the most tender slices of beef.
  • Allow your steak to rest for 10 to 15 minutes after you remove it from the grill.
