  • 1 thin crust flatbread or pizza crust I use Golden Home Bakery brand
  • 1 cup pulled pork see post for link to pulled pork recipe
  • 1 cup shredded cheese your choice, I used mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro chopped, for topping (optional)
  • 6 slices red onion for topping (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon queso fresco crumbled, for topping (optional)
  • 1 fried egg optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Spread half of the BBQ sauce over the entire flatbread crust.
1 thin crust flatbread or pizza crust, ¼ cup BBQ sauce
  • Place flatbread on a baking sheet and layer with ¾ cup of the shredded cheese.
    1 cup shredded cheese
  • Top with half of the pulled pork, and sprinkle with garlic powder and red pepper flakes.
1 cup pulled pork, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Notes

  • Mix up the toppings: You can use whatever cheese or sauce you like! I like buffalo ranch sauce, but you can test different sauces out to try. It's fun!
  • Try a different flatbread: I use Flatout brand flatbread because I like how it crisps up in the oven, but you can use your favorite brand. Naan works, too!
