Happy Sunday!
Life feels so good right now. I am thrilled to return to simplicity after such a tumultuous time. One thing is for certain: when you go through a scare like we did, you learn not to take the little things for granted!
I’ve been enjoying life, making the most of my favorite kitchen gadgets, developing and testing new recipes, and working on my precious Sunday Supper website. I will never take the work that I do, or those that I work with, for granted. It is a privilege to be the founder of Sunday Supper, and to make a difference in the lives of so many families!
Most of all, I am so grateful for you being here. You have no idea how much your support means to me, especially during a difficult time.
Recently, I shared with you that I decided I needed a change, and wanted to start focusing on a healthier lifestyle. First, what was I thinking about starting this journey right before the holidays?
For some reason, it felt like the right time. I started slowly, trying to cut back on carbs and adding in daily walks wearing my weighted vest (I love seeing improvement each time with my fitness watch). Do I do this every day? No! But I do try to do it most days, and as far as I am concerned, if I do it at least five days a week, I consider that to be every day. In Florida, this goal is a breeze, but in Georgia… it kicks my butt! Those North Georgia mountains are a challenge!
Thankfully, I found the perfect walking sneakers. These were desperately needed after the first few weeks. Of course, with the perfect pair of sneakers, I also realized that my regular clothes weren’t cutting it for walks, and tailored my wardrobe to fit this new lifestyle.
My Favorite Workout Clothes
I love posting updates and beautiful pictures from my morning walks. If you don’t already, you can stay up to date on my Instagram stories to see!
While I am not yet at my goal weight, I am so pleased with my progress. I see improvement every month and am proud of myself for sticking to it. My next goal is to incorporate these adjustable weights into my routine. Honestly, I can’t stand using weights, so this will be a massive challenge for me.
If any of you have any suggestions for me, or anything you’ve tried that’s worked for you, please share with me! Just keep in mind, I’m kind of a wimp. Take it easy on me, please!
The boys and Alexandra will be visiting soon, and I am, as always, looking forward to it! It is so exciting every time they come to see us. Aiden and Rory just learned to swim, and I can’t wait for them to show off their skills! You know this Vo-Vo will be cheering them on. I made sure to get them all set up with their favorite shark goggles and, of course, a few fun pool toys.
You know Aiden is crazy about my red pasta sauce with meatballs, right? Just like Ron! I’ll be whipping up a huge batch just for him.
I hope you’re enjoying the little things in your life as much as I am. It’s all about the little things! Take time to spend with your family this Fall season, and take care.
Your friend,
Isabel
My Coffee Maker of Choice
I don’t know what I would do without my coffee maker. It is necessary for my early morning walks!
All new recipe!
Try my new Turkey Chili!
I’m obsessed with this chili and I just know it will be even better when the weather cools down.
