Pasta Chips FAQs
Pasta chips are made of boiled pasta noodles that are drained and coated with oil and seasonings, then crisped up in an oven or air fryer.
The taste of pasta chips depends on how you season them, but in the case of our pasta chips recipe, they’re slightly cheesy and herby from Parmesan cheese and dried herbs, with a little kick from chili flakes. They are delicious paired with a pesto dip.
How to Store
These pasta chips are best served immediately, but they do hold up well for about 5 days. I recommend storing at room temperature in an airtight container.
Best Pasta for Pasta Chips
You’ll want to use a short, thick-styled pasta, one you can easily grab and dip with, just like a chip!
Avoid any pasta that’d normally require twirling to eat, like fettuccine noodles. A few of my favorite pastas for making pasta chips are:
- Rigatoni
- Penne
- Bowtie
- Farfalle
- Fusilli
You can even use gluten-free pasta to make pasta chips if you want to offer gluten-free chips for your friends!
