I love weddings! Don’t you?

I am always thrilled when we have the opportunity to get the entire Laessig family together. This week was an absolute blast!

My niece Amanda married the love of her life, Shane, this past week. We couldn’t be more thrilled for the two of them; they are the most beautiful couple! It was a lovely wedding in Lancaster, PA, and could not have been more perfect.

My favorite part of any get-together is seeing the entire family together. To say we’re blessed would be an understatement! My family grew up in Florida, while the rest of us grew up in Philadelphia, but when we come together the family bond is so strong, you would never know!

Of course, every perfect plan comes with a glitch. We were all flying from all over the country, and two of us had a flight canceled so we couldn’t make it to the wedding. It was so disappointing. We were so sad Riley and Hanna could not attend. Then, on the way home, Ronnie and Julia’s flight was also canceled… isn’t flying so fun these days?

Otherwise, it was a fantastic weekend filled with love and beautiful memories. I’ll always cherish it!

Oh, and you know me – I love checking out new restaurants wherever we go, and getting inspired by the local flavors. Amish cooking is impressive! Gracie’s on West Main was a huge hit. Their Bacon Flight was to die for, and I already know I need to do this for the holidays!
