This past weekend, our home was bursting at the seams with family, friends, and a whole lot of excitement! When I say it was full, I mean it. Every bedroom was taken, and the house was overflowing with love and laughter. And honestly, that’s exactly how I envisioned it when we built this home! This home was made for entertaining, for bringing people together, and for making everyone feel welcome.
Ron’s brother and sister-in-law came into town for the Super Bowl, making it an extra special event for our whole family- especially for Ron and his brother, lifelong Philly fans. It was such a treat to watch the big game with them and our kids, celebrating every thrilling moment together. And, of course Alexandra, Shay, and the 2 grand-babies! My heart was so full and happy!
In the midst of all the Super Bowl fun, my dear friend Colleen was also in town from Jersey, so I threw together a last-minute girls' luncheon, and I’m so glad I did! There’s nothing better than gathering old friends, new friends, and family around the table. It was a casual and relaxing afternoon featuring my burrata appetizer, a pulled pork taco bar, and of course, Prosecco to make it feel extra special. The weather was perfect for sitting outside, enjoying great food, and catching up with dear friends.
Then came Super Bowl Sunday, the highlight of our weekend! With a house full of Eagles fans, you can imagine the energy. We were all on the edge of our seats! And of course, game day food was just as important as the game itself. Ron and I planned the perfect spread, featuring:
🥩 Ron’s famous grilled baby back ribs (always a hit!)
🧀 Philly cheesesteak sliders – a must for any Eagles party
🍕 Pepperoni pizza dip – the ultimate crowd-pleaser
And let me tell you, every bite was just as exciting as the game itself!
Weekends like this remind me why I love Sunday Supper so much. It’s all about gathering with the people who matter most, making memories, and sharing great food together. I hope this inspires you to gather your loved ones around the table soon, whether for a big game, a casual lunch, or just because.
What’s been on your table lately? I’d love to hear all about it!
With love and good food,
Isabel
