Happy Sunday,
There’s something about the start of a new year that makes everything feel a little more meaningful. A little more reflective. A little more grateful.
This past week, Ron and I kicked off the new year with a visit to Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando — and the moment we arrived, I felt it. That familiar feeling that instantly brings you back to a time filled with excitement, creativity, connection, and community.

This was the home of the Food & Wine Conference — a place where we gathered year after year with so many of you. A place where friendships were formed, ideas were born, and memories were made around tables filled with incredible food, laughter, and conversation. Walking through the property brought back so many moments: early mornings filled with anticipation, late nights sharing stories, and that beautiful buzz that only happens when people who truly love food and connection come together.
And of course… the food. Always the food.

Being there reminded me exactly why Sunday Supper exists. Because food has a way of anchoring us to moments in time. It becomes part of the memory. It’s comfort. It’s tradition. It’s love on a plate.
That feeling is exactly why our Beef Chuck Roast has become our most loved recipe — year after year. It’s not fancy. It’s not complicated. It’s the kind of meal that slowly fills your home with warmth, brings everyone to the kitchen asking, “Is it ready yet?” and keeps people lingering at the table long after the plates are cleared.
It’s the meal you make when you want to feed people more than just dinner.

When we returned home that weekend, our house was full — just the way I love it. Reis and Jordin came over, and Ronnie and Julia joined us too, all gathered to watch the Eagles game. Ron fired up the grill and made a big batch of his grilled ribs, the kind that disappear almost as fast as they come off the grill. The game didn’t go our way (a tough loss for the Eagles😢), but this football family doesn’t let a loss get us down.
What mattered most was being together — laughing, sharing food, and starting the year exactly how we want to live it: surrounded by the people we love and creating new memories around the table.
As we step into this new year, this chuck roast feels like the perfect way to begin — a reminder to slow down, gather your people, and cook something that brings everyone together.
Serving Ideas We Love:
Serve it over creamy mashed potatoes, spoon it onto buttery egg noodles, or pair it with soft polenta to soak up every bit of that rich sauce. Add a simple green salad or roasted vegetables, and you’ve got the kind of Sunday Supper everyone remembers.
If you’ve never made it, now is the time. And if you have… you already know why it’s our number one. ❤️
Here’s to a year filled with comfort, connection, and meals shared with love.
With a full heart,
Isabel
