We can’t seem to stay away from the mountains. They called for us to come back, and we are obliged since it is so hot in Florida right now! They never disappoint us.
Ron and I got in on Saturday, and by that afternoon, he had talked to our neighbors and planned a great day on Sunday. We hosted a fun brunch where I put together a Bloody Mary bar, including candied bacon, deviled eggs, grilled shrimp, pickled green beans, and other pickled veggies (I need to share these with you!).
I served the Bloody Marys in my new favorite glasses. These glasses made them taste even better – or maybe they just felt super fancy! They’re on sale this week, and I’m tempted to get them in every color.
In fact, I’m excited to share my whole setup for this bar idea with you. Here’s what made it so special!
Bloody Mary Bar Essentials
- My new favorite vintage glassware! These cups are seriously the cutest and I’ve gotten so many compliments on them! I even ordered them in a larger size because I’m a bit obsessed at the moment!
- These adorable pitchers easily stored all of my homemade Bloody Mary mix, and I was able to store them away in the fridge right after using them!
- I was so excited to finally use my new Bloody Mary cocktail skewers – how adorable are these! I love the little garnish on the top of each. All of my friends thought these were the best!
- In case anyone wanted to rim their glasses, I set out my salt and sugar rimmer set from Amazon. I love this set, and it matches all of my home decor!
- I set up these blue serving bowls for all of my garnishes; everything fit perfectly inside.
- And lastly, I had the entire Bloody Mary bar set up on my favorite cute wood serving tray!
Of course, I also made our absolute favorite sausage brunch casserole. It’s the easiest breakfast casserole to whip up, and we never get tired of it!
After the tournament, Ron and I whipped up a big batch of frosé and headed down to our backyard to watch the Georgia Women’s Open. Since our home backs up to the first hole of the course, it was a perfect view. We enjoyed sitting out back, sipping cocktails, and watching the tournament.
Once the tournament was over, we left to visit the lake on one of our neighbor’s boats. The lake was magical – it put on quite a show for us! The best part about it was the conversations and connections we made with our new neighbors.
I feel blessed that we found such a special place. Peace comes over me every time we return.
Now, I’m thinking about having a small dinner party – but I want your help! Out of all of my recipes you’ve tried, which are your favorites that you would recommend for a dinner party?
Your friend,
Isabel
