One amazing vacation - plus a brand new recipe for pork!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

I am so ecstatic! I couldn't imagine spending a better week with my kids and grandkids than this week has been!

Our vacation home at Currahee Club did not disappoint. It was so much fun seeing the kids react as they pulled up to the long driveway and saw the house for the first time.

There is a bedroom for each of them, and there is even a grandkids' room with built-in beds that I am still working on making the cutest kid room in the world. I have so many ideas for it, and can't wait to impress my grandkids with my decorating skills. 🤣
I think a fun dinosaur 🦕 theme is in order! Rory and Aiden are obsessed with dinosaurs!

One thing is true: this house is perfect for creating a backdrop for a lifetime of family memories. I welcomed everyone with a huge pot of Sunday Sauce and Meatballs, along with a large salad. According to Ron and the kids, this was the best pot of meatballs I have ever made! I'm not sure if I believe him, since I've been making this recipe for over 35 years.

If I'm completely honest, the love of all being together and enjoying each other made this seem like the best batch I have ever made. But the compliments made me feel so good!

We have been spending our days at the pool, boating on Lake Hartwell, and golfing. It has been a glorious vacation filled with fun and laughter.

The biggest surprise was how much Rory and Aiden enjoyed boating. They were so daring! Jumping off the boat into the water and tubing. My heart was so full watching them have a blast!

We started a new tradition this year, too. I figured my kids were all old enough to take one day each to cook dinner. It has been so much fun seeing what each of them has come up with! I'll share their recipes next week. Let's just say it was not what I would have thought!
