Happy Sunday!
This past weekend, my heart was full as I spent time with my daughter, son-in-law, and two sweet grandchildren, Rory and Aiden. We celebrated the season in the most magical, old-fashioned way—wandering through downtown Toccoa, where Christmas truly comes to life!
From twinkling lights to the joy of seeing Santa, and even a surprise visit from the Grinch, it was a reminder of what this season is really about: family, laughter, and making memories we’ll cherish forever. The simple things in life are indeed the most important and that the best gift we can give is our time!
And I can’t forget to share this with you—we loved our grilled turkey with butter injection so much this Thanksgiving, that we recreated it again for our family complete with all the fixings: mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and many more of our favorites!
Something about bringing everyone around the table to enjoy those comforting, favorite dishes makes this season extra special. Of course, the following day we had to enjoy a Shamwich—Shay’s specialty!
I have the turkey carcass in the freezer and I am getting ready to make my famous turkey carcass soup! I can’t wait!
As we gather this Christmas, let’s savor the simple joys—the meals, the stories, and the love shared with those who mean the most. Whether you’re serving up classics like my slow roasted prime rib or a meal inspired by your own traditions, may your home be filled with warmth, laughter, and gratitude!
Wishing you a Christmas to remember and moments to cherish forever,
Isabel
