For the chicken cordon: Chicken breasts Swiss cheese Ham Salt and pepper Eggs Flour Breadcrumbs
For the sauce: Butter Flour 2% milk Grated parmesan
Prep this dish in the morning, then store it in the fridge until it’s time to cook!
Lay out plastic wrap and place chicken on top. Lay a second piece over the top and pound the chicken flat.
Lay chicken side by side and season with salt and pepper. Top with cheese, then a layer of ham.
Roll up into a pinwheel with the cheese and ham on the inside.
Take chicken and roll in the flour in a bowl until fully coated.
Roll in the whisked egg. Finally, place into the breadcrumbs and fully coat.
Place chicken onto plastic wrap and roll tightly. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Melt butter in a pan then add flour and mix.
Slowly begin adding the milk. Stir well. When it simmers, remove from the heat.
Add parmesan and stir in until it melts and the sauce is smooth.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Unwrap chicken and bake for 35 minutes.
Remove from the oven and slice. Drizzle over the parmesan sauce. Serve and enjoy!
