Black Eyed Pea Dip FAQ
Cowboy Caviar uses a mixture of black-eyed peas, celery, cilantro, sweet yellow corn, green pepper, red pepper, onions, pinto beans, black beans, zesty Italian salad dressing, and salt and pepper. This gives it a flavorful, zesty taste, perfect for pairing with tortilla chips.
The black beans, pinto beans, and black-eyed peas should be drained before making Texas caviar.
While most Italian dressing should be gluten-free, it is still best to check the bottle before using it in this recipe. Otherwise, this is a gluten-free Texas caviar recipe everyone can enjoy!
Homemade black eyed peas dip is good for 4-5 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
