Pulled Pork Nachos Ingredients
- tortilla chips
- pulled pork (see notes)
- shredded cheese
- jalapeno, sliced
- avocado, diced
- corn
- tomato, diced
- Lime juice
- red onion, diced
- Cilantro
- sour cream or Avocado Crema, optional
I make my slow cooker pulled pork recipe pretty frequently at home, especially during football season! It’s the easiest way to make shredded pork, and it tastes incredible.

In this case, I use Teriyaki pork, which has a delicious sweet-and-tangy flavor, but you can also make spicy pulled pork or even a deliciously sweet and spicy peach pulled pork.

Best Cheese for Nachos
Shredded cheese is the best cheese for nachos! It melts easily and is perfect for making sure you get that cheesy goodness in every bite.
For these nachos, use your favorite kind of shredded cheese. I personally like Monterey Jack cheese to go with the flavors of the pork, but a Mexican blend would work well, too.

At my house, we love the fresh veggie toppings above- but you can use whatever you want for your nacho toppings! Something I like to do when I’m serving a lot of people with different tastes is to bake the nachos, then put the toppings out in bowls for people to pick and choose what they like.
Here are some nacho toppings perfect for a nacho bar. You can mix and match whatever you want with these toppings, and it will be delicious! Creating a nacho bar is a great way to make everyone happy. Not only is the food great, but putting it together is a lot of fun!
- Salsa, like Peach Mango Salsa
- Green onions
- Shredded lettuce
- Olives
- Pico de gallo
- Beans or refried beans
- Guacamole
- Peppers, like Blistered Shishito Peppers

How to Make Nachos in Oven
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Spread 1 bag of tortilla chips evenly in a skillet.
- Top with 2 cups of pulled pork.
- Cover evenly with 2 cups of shredded cheese.
- Place in the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the chips are crispy.
- Remove from oven and add toppings like 1 sliced jalapeno, 1 diced avocado, ¼ cup corn, 1 diced small tomato, ¼ cup red onion, cilantro to taste, and lime juice squeezed from 1 lime.
- Top with a dollop of sour cream or Mexican crema, about â…“ cup, for extra creaminess.
