Pinwheel Sandwich Recipes FAQs
Yes, you can absolutely make pinwheels up to 24 hours in advance! Simply slice right before serving.
The best way to make sure your pinwheel sandwiches do not get soggy is to create a barrier between any wet ingredients in the sandwiches and the tortilla. For example, if you’re making pinwheel sandwiches with tomatoes, make sure the tomatoes are wrapped between the other ingredients like meat and cheese, and not touching the tortilla itself.
Storing Pinwheel Sandwiches
If you have any leftover pinwheels, simply store them in an airtight container and place them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Any longer and your tortilla will get soft from the moisture of the filling.
