    Breakfast Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls

I’m always looking for an excuse to make sliders. They’re the best type of meal: quick, easy, perfect for meal prep, and even better for sharing! Over the holidays, I am always making these easy breakfast sandwich sliders, and they’re a hit every time.

My breakfast sliders recipe combines everything you love about breakfast: soft rolls, creamy scrambled eggs, savory sausage, melty cheese, and sweet maple syrup. The best part is, it’s so simple to assemble, so it’s the best way to serve breakfast for a crowd!

Not only that, but they’re a quick way to make your work day mornings easier. Just make yourself a batch of these Hawaiian roll breakfast sliders, wrap each sandwich in parchment paper, and toss them in the freezer. Thaw them out in the microwave or air fryer, and you’ve got one easy breakfast you can feel good about!

How to Make Easy Breakfast for a Crowd

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the eggs and cook until scrambled. Season with salt and pepper, and set aside.

    3. Remove the Hawaiian rolls from their container, keeping the container for later. Without separating the rolls, cut them in half.

    4. Top both sides of the rolls with slices of cheese. (I used 8-10 slices per side.)

    5. Top one side with the crumbled sausage, then the scrambled eggs.

    7. Place the assembled sliders back into the cardboard roll container.

    Breakfast Slider Toppings

I keep my breakfast sliders simple with a mix of cheese, eggs, sausage, syrup, and seasonings, but you can add so much to them to customize them however you like. Here are some suggestions:

    • Bacon: Make my air fryer bacon for an easy bacon recipe you can serve with these sliders. You can also fry bacon in a pan if you prefer, but the air fryer makes it much easier!
    • Maple butter: Instead of simple maple syrup, you can melt butter and whisk it in a bowl with maple syrup. Brush the mixture on top of your breakfast slider buns for an extra rich flavor.
    • Sausage patties: This recipe uses crumbled sausage, but if you prefer patties, you can also flatten your tube of ground sausage out into a 9 by 13-inch baking dish and bake it for about 20-25 minutes at 350℉. When you cut your sliders, this will form the perfect sausage patties.
    • Switch up the cheese: You can use whatever kind of cheese you like for breakfast, like cheddar cheese, pepper jack, colby jack cheese, provolone, or American cheese slices. I used white American cheese as it melts very well. Just use your favorite!

    Breakfast Sliders Hawaiian Rolls Tips

    • If you’re short on time, feel free to use pre-cooked sausage crumbles.
    • This recipe will cook the sliders to be incredibly pillowy and soft. If you want a little more crisp, cook them without the foil.
    • If you accidentally break or discard the cardboard container, just wrap the rolls directly in foil, or pack them into a casserole dish!
    • These rolls are the perfect meal prep recipe. Make up a batch, slice them, and freeze them for later. Then warm them up in the microwave or wrap them in foil and heat them in the air fryer for delicious sliders any day of the week!

    Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders FAQ

    Why are my sliders soggy?

Soggy sliders are a result of too much moisture being trapped in the foil when the sliders bake. This can occur if the sausage or eggs are a bit too moist, or if the cheese releases too much oil. To resolve this, just bake your sliders without the foil!

How do you serve sliders at a party?

Serve up sliders at a party by slicing them and setting them up on a big serving dish. If you’re worried about them getting cold, wrap each slider in foil and set all of them in a slow cooker set to LOW.

How do you keep sliders warm before serving?

My favorite way to keep sliders warm for a short period of time is to just leave them in the oven as it cools down! If you’re keeping them warm for a longer period of time, however, I recommend slicing them, then wrapping each slider in foil and stacking them up in a slow cooker set to LOW. This will keep them nice and toasty!
