Pumpkin Puree Recipes FAQ
Yes, you can and should freeze leftover pumpkin puree and pumpkin butter! As it only contains freezer-safe ingredients and defrosts without texture change, freezing leftovers is a great way to avoid waste. Freeze leftovers in small portions using an ice cube tray!
Pumpkin puree and pumpkin butter last four days in the fridge. Due to this short lifespan, it’s a great idea to freeze anything you’re not expecting to use quickly. I highly recommend portioning leftovers out in an ice cube tray, then storing the frozen cubes in a bag for easy thawing later!
Pumpkin butter is essentially made from the same ingredients as pumpkin pie filling, and tastes the same! It’s got a mild pumpkin flavor with a delicious spicy sweetness brought in by warming autumn spices.
