Happy Sunday,
This week, my heart feels especially full — and a little reflective.
Ron and I just returned from a trip to Naples, Florida, a place that holds such special memories for our family. The last time we were there was back in 2013, on a press trip with all four kids. That trip was loud, busy, energetic, and overflowing with laughter — the kind of chaos only young kids can bring. Those memories are etched into my heart forever.

This time, Naples felt different.
It was just Ron and me.
And while it was different, it was also really, really nice.
We walked the streets hand in hand, lingered over slow dinners, and allowed ourselves to move through the days without an agenda. No rushing. No schedules. Just conversation, quiet moments, and a deep appreciation for this phase of life we’re in right now.

There’s a certain peace that comes with this season — one that took years to earn. While the memories of those earlier years will always be close to my heart, I’m learning to truly appreciate the calm, the stillness, and the beauty of where we are today.

Back at home, we shifted gears and started thinking about the big game day coming up! Even though our Eagles won’t be in it this year (still a little bummed over that one), we never miss it. We love the gathering, the food, and for me — the halftime show is always a highlight.
So now comes the fun question: What should we make?

This is the kind of day that calls for comfort food — dishes that can be made ahead, enjoyed slowly, and shared with the people you love. Whether it’s a big, cozy dip, a crowd-pleasing main, or a table filled with snacks everyone can graze on all afternoon, the goal is the same: come together, relax, and enjoy the moment.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not really about who’s playing.
It’s about who’s sitting around your table.
Here’s to memories made then, memories being made now, and all the beautiful seasons in between.
With love and gratitude,
Isabel
