Juicy Garlic Steak Bites
Oh, where do I even begin with this amazing recipe? These delicious, juicy garlic butter steak bites are one of my favorite dishes to make. My family is wild about them, and whenever I serve them at game day parties or for a dinner party, I get asked for the recipe.
Everyone is always surprised when I tell them how easy it is. Herby garlic butter sauce, sirloin beef cubes, and just 15 minutes to make. They couldn’t be more simple, but they are unbelievably flavorful.
Seriously, I am borderline obsessed with this recipe. My favorite way to make it is as a garlic butter steak and potatoes skillet with Crispy Baked Potato Wedges. It’s a perfect pairing!
Give this dish a try and I promise it will be one of your favorite sirloin steak recipes ever. And trust me… you are going to want to add our garlic butter sauce to everything after you try it once!
Wow! Truly amazing! I made it for the first time and it was probably the best steak dish i have ever had!

Can steak be cooked in butter?
Steak can be cooked in butter, but we recommend cooking the steak in oil as instructed first.
Oil has a higher smoke point than butter, meaning it won’t burn easily, so we sear the steak in olive oil first, then melt and add the garlic butter later and mix it through.
Best Steak Bites Sauce
This recipe cooks with our classic garlic butter sauce for steak, which uses a mix of herbs and garlic.
Steak bites are also delicious for dipping in our other favorite sauce recipes, like remoulade and blue cheese dressing.
What Steak to Use for Steak Bites
This is one of our favorite beef sirloin recipes because of how tender sirloin steak is, but you can use other cuts as well!
I’ve made prime rib bites using ribeye steak and New York Strip Steak, too.
Keto Steak Bites
This is my favorite keto steak recipe! Complete with garlic butter sauce, it’s one of the most delicious keto recipes you can make. Garlic herb butter makes the most amazingly flavorful keto steak topping!
To make it a full low carb meal, pair it with or our cauliflower rice recipe.
How to Make Steak Bites
- Pat the steak dry before cooking it. This will give it a better sear.
- Season generously with salt and pepper. I like to use sea salt! You can also use your favorite steak seasoning, but salt and pepper works best for pairing with garlic butter.
- Cast iron skillets work best for garlic steak bites. But, if you don’t have one, a large non-stick skillet works just fine.
- Cook in batches – don’t overcrowd the pan! Cook your steak in a single layer so it’s not too crowded together. It will brown better this way.
For the first 2 minutes or so of cooking, don’t stir the steak. Let it brown first, then stir to brown on all sides.
Wife and I made this last night with fingerling potatoes and asparagus and It was Awesome! Thanks for posting!
