Pork Chop Sauces
Other than steak, the number one dinner my family loves is pork chops. I am a big fan of them, and have tried making pork chops just about every way imaginable, from oven baked to pan-fried, sous vide, smothered, in the Instant Pot, air fried, slow cooker, and grilled.
My secret to the perfect pork chop dinner doesn’t have to do with the chops themselves, but with the sauce. A good sauce makes all the difference, especially with a meat like pork! So, I put together my favorite pork chop sauces to share with you.
Whether you’re planning ahead for dinner or trying to save a plate of dry pork chops (trust me, I’ve been there), these easy sauces for pork chops are a guaranteed way to drastically improve your meal. Give them a try, and find a new favorite sauce!

Tips for Cooking Pork Chops
- Always use a meat thermometer to measure the internal temperature of pork chops. This is important for cooking pork chops perfectly.
- For best results, pull pork chops off of the heat 5 degrees below the safe internal temperature, and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving so they reach the proper temperature (145°F). This will give you perfectly tender pork chops.
- A cast iron skillet is best for searing pork chops.
- If you’re here for a sauce to save overcooked pork chops, here’s a tip: slice the pork chops very thinly against the grain (about ¼-inch thick). This ensures the meat will be so much more tender!
- You can use my pork chop sauces for boneless or bone-in pork chops. Just note the timing for each recipe so you can plan ahead on when to prep the sauce.
