Fried Pork Chops in Air Fryer
One of my favorite dinners to make for my family is pork chops. But of course, if you have any distractions at all (and who doesn’t?), there’s a chance you might accidentally overcook the chops and have them dry out. I know I’ve had that happen more than once!
Air fryer pork chops are a total lifesaver and time-saver. They take under 20 minutes to make all told, and your only intervention, while they cook, will be to flip them halfway through. That’s it. These are the crispiest, best pork chops you will ever make!
Love it! ❤️ Going to make it again!

Pork Chops In Air Fryer Ingredients
- Boneless pork chops (½-inch thick)
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Parmesan cheese, grated
- Eggs
- Paprika
- Garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper
How to Air Fry Pork Chops
- Combine panko, parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and salt and pepper in a bowl. In a separate bowl, beat eggs.
- Dip the pork chops first in the beaten eggs, coating completely. Then dip in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to adhere the crumbs to the pork chops. Coat both sides and gently shake off any excess.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Once preheated, spray each side of the pork chops using cooking spray, and place them in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 5 minutes, then flip and cook another 4-6 minutes, until browned and crispy. Measure the internal temperature using a meat thermometer (it should reach 140°F).
- Remove from the air fryer and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Pork Chops Air Fryer Tips
- Try my favorite 10-Quart Air Fryer for this and other air fryer recipes.
- You can use bone-in pork chops if you prefer. If using bone-in pork chops, especially if they are thicker than ½-inch, they will most likely need to cook for longer than boneless. Cook for about 12 minutes total – 6 minutes on one side, 6 minutes on the next.
- Always check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer, especially if using thicker pork chops or pork chops cooked from frozen.
- Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes after cooking.
- I always make extra leftover pork chops because I love leftovers!
Isabel’s Air Fryer
It’s amazing what you can cook with an air fryer! I love mine and highly recommend it. It even has a steaming function to re-hydrate stale bread!

Pork Cut | Pork Weight or Thickness | Air Fryer Temperature | Internal Temperature | Cooking Time |
---|---|---|---|---|
Pork Chops (Boneless) | ½-inch thick | 400°F | 145°F | 5 minutes on one side, 4-6 minutes opposite side |

Air Fryer Pork Chops FAQs
After air frying the pork chops for at least 9 minutes total, check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer to tell if they are done cooking. The temperature should read 140°F. Once they reach this temperature, remove the pork chops from the air fryer and allow them to rest 5 minutes. The temperature will rise slightly as they rest.
You can air fry bone-in pork chops, though thicker pork chops will take slightly longer to cook than thin boneless chops. Air fry thick bone-in pork chops for a total of 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
You can air-fry pork chops with flour if you like. Pork chops dredged in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs work well in the air fryer just as panko pork chops do following the same instructions. Spray them liberally with olive oil spray so they do not stick to the tray.

I made these last night and am very impressed. The chops were really juicy. I did struggle a bit to get the breading to stick well to the chops, but this was my first time breading anything and it wasn’t a bad attempt. The breading was nice and crispy. Thank you.
