Air Fryer Asparagus Fries with Lemon Aioli Dip are going to be your new OBSESSION! One of the best air fryer recipes ever, these asparagus fries are out-of-this-world delicious and so easy to make. Dip them in easy lemon aioli made with mayo, and you’ll be hooked!
Easy Asparagus Air Fryer Recipe
I love easy air fryer recipes. What could be better than fried food without the guilt? These amazing air fryer asparagus fries are no exception! They take just minutes to make and are honestly some of the best fries I have ever eaten.
Top them off with lemon garlic aioli made with mayo, and I can promise you you’ll want to make these as a snack or even as a side dish for your favorite dinners all of the time. Between prep and cook time, they will only take you a little over 10 minutes to make!
I find myself making these as a side dish for just about everything I can get away with. My favorite dish to pair asparagus fries with is my surf and turf recipe – which you can also make in the air fryer! And believe me, air fried steak and lobster is as good as it gets. It is amazing!
You could even serve air fryer asparagus with air fryer mushrooms and dip them in the same lemon aioli recipe. They go together so well!
Air Fryer Asparagus Ingredients
- asparagus, preferably thin, trimmed
- flour
- breadcrumbs, Italian-style
- garlic powder
- paprika
- beaten
1 lb. of asparagus is equal to about 20 to 30 spears, depending on how large the asparagus is. Thin asparagus is your best bet for frying and doesn’t skimp on the flavor.
Isabel’s Air Fryer
It’s amazing what you can cook with an air fryer! I love mine and highly recommend it. It even has a steaming function to re-hydrate stale bread!

How to Trim Asparagus
- Hold the woody end of the asparagus between your thumb and index finger and bend it until it snaps off. It should snap cleanly off.
- Neatly stack your remaining asparagus spears next to the asparagus you snapped. Use it as a guide to cut off the woody ends of the remaining asparagus using a sharp kitchen knife.
Before cooking your asparagus air fryer recipe, start by trimming the asparagus. Asparagus has a “woody” end that is stringy and should be trimmed off before cooking.
How to Cook Asparagus in Air Fryer
- Rinse asparagus in cold water and pat dry.
- Add all-purpose flour to a large dish or platter.
- Combine Italian-style breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika on a separate plate or platter.
- Add beaten eggs to a large bowl.
- Dip asparagus in eggs.
Roll in the flour, then dip in the eggs again.
Coat asparagus in breadcrumbs. - Transfer breaded asparagus to the tray of your air fryer in an even layer. Make sure to leave a bit of space between each one. If you have two racks, you can fill them both. I love my 10-Quart Air Fryer for this.
- Set the air fryer to 1800 watts at 400° F for 7 minutes.
- Remove asparagus with tongs and serve with dipping sauce (see below for lemon aioli recipe).
